Andrew began writing poetry in 1995, when he was studying English Literature at Auckland University, and completed an MA degree in 1999 .
Apart from writing, he has also actively developed an involvement in art, music, typography, design and photography, and seeks to find ways to combine art forms and instigate collaborations. In particular he has developed a style of art he calls "photo/graphic" - combining graphic art with photography.
Andrew’s creative output engages society and embraces many influences. His subject matter is almost unlimited and he is interested in breaking into and out of Christian culture. Much of Andrew’s work deals with, and grows out of, the tension between physical and spiritual experiences, with a tendency towards bringing the unexpected into the everyday, and the everyday into the unexpected.
Andrew is also a freelance writer, freelance typesetting specialist and Publishing Manager at Castle Publishing. He is in the early stages of developing his own publishing imprint, Shadow Press.
His first book, 'Epilogue', was published in November 2005.
